If you don't see your question here, just Facebook, Tweet or Email it to us!
Q: There are no sizing holes. How are the belts sized and how do I adjust my belt size?
A: No holes needed. Our belts are held in place by friction. Belts fit up to a 46 inch waist unless otherwise noted and can be cut to length with a very sharp scissors: we suggest craft scissors.
Q: Why do the belts/styles vary on the website?
A: Because all of our belts are unique, handmade, and parts vary by availability we only list the belts we have in stock. Please check the website often for updated styles. You can also email us and let us know that you’d like to be notified when inventory updates.
Q: I have some metal parts that I don't know what to do with. Can I donate metal parts to Tired Ol' Belts?
A: Sure! Got metal? We'll pay shipping, and if it is enough, perhaps trade you or pay you for it. Here is a list of parts we are looking for: cranksets that have removable allen-wrench style chainring bolts, allen-wrench style chainring bolts by themselves, discarded chain (can be greasy but not rusty),discarded cassettes and/or 11t-16t individual cogs and discarded spokes. Please call or drop us an email and we'll work something out.
Q: How do you clean the belts and bike parts?
A: We wash the belts as thoroughly as possible, even by hand if needed. All the chains and other bike parts are cleaned with soap and water and "green" bike degreaser if necessary.
Q: How environmentally friendly is Tired Ol Belts, LLC. ?
A: Green is the new black. We continue to think of ways to go green, and currently all belts are made with recycled bike parts. Approximately 50% of all transportation of the belts (including gathering parts and belt delivery) is done by bicycle to reduce our carbon footprint. We do our best to lengthen the life of our TOB tools by sharpening them instead of replacing them. We also partner with a lot of local business, and even some cooperatives, to consign our belts.
Q: Can I send you my favorite tire for you to make into my favorite belt?
A: Yes! Just email us to make arrangements. Please allow 1-2 weeks for the entire customized process.
Q: Can I return my belt?
A: Because each belt is unique and handmade we do not accept returns. However, if you are dissatisfied with your belt please let us know and we will see what we can do about fixing your belt, and in extreme cases, replacing it.
Q: I am hosting an event that I think your belts would be a good fit for, do you attend live events?
A: Yes! Send us an email with all of your event details and we'll be in touch.
Q: Do you wholesale?
A: Yes and we are always looking for more retails to sell TOBs. Just send us an email to get the conversation started.
